IRBEAIrBEA was founded in May 1999. Its role is to promote the bioenergy industry and to develop this important sector on the Island of Ireland. The organisation is a self-governing association of voluntary members and is affiliated to AEBIOM, the European Biomass Association.

COFORDThe COFORD Council for Forest Research and Development is a representative body from the Forest Sector in Ireland.  The Council advises the Department of Agriculture Food and the Marine on research and developmental issues.

SEAIThe Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland was established as Ireland's national energy authority under the Sustainable Energy Act 2002. SEAI's mission is to play a leading role in transforming Ireland into a society based on sustainable energy structures, technologies and practices.

ITGAThe Irish Timber Growers Association (ITGA) was formed in 1977 to support the development and expansion of private sector forestry in Ireland and to represent and inform woodland owners.
It is now the recognised national representative body of private woodland owners in Ireland. The Association is particularly concerned that private plantations achieve their maximum potential by the implementation of good forest management practises throughout their rotation.
